Yoda Drawing Finished

I may have rushed the bottom half of Yoda’s robe but for now I’m going to call the Yoda drawing finished.

Yoda Drawing

I’ll keep it up on the wall for a while before I spray to to fix the graphite in place. I may want to make some edits in a week or so.

Warm-up and DrawABox exercises

My normal 15 minute warm-up in graphite.

warm-up

I finished lesson 1 from the draw a box exercises and I’ve started into the “crucible” 250 box challenge. I’ll be doing 5 boxes per page so that the lines don’t get too crazy. Today I made a quick note on the page to indicate where my errors mostly came from.

The biggest issue I’m having now with drawing boxes with correct perspective is not the facing lines but the drawn trough lines. Those are the line that are seen through the front faces. For some reason I can’t get those correct. The feedback is great though, and I’ll keep working on it. I have 245 boxes left to correct it 🙂

One Minute Gestures

Back to charcoal with these gestures today and I’m also sitting. My knees are aching a bit after a very long walk today so I wanted to rest them for a while. I found that I drew my gestures a lot better today. I’m not sure if that is because I was sitting or my focus.

Daily Composition and Daily Sketch

A quick sketch of my thermos and a very messy french press. I really didn’t take the time that it needed.

The daily composition is of a guy at the Trek bike shop working on a bike. I didn’t even try to get super detailed with the bike parts.
