Wrapped in Black and White Still Life

It has been over a week since I have done a still life so I thought it was time to do one again. The wrapped in black and white painting was quite fun as I focused on keeping the whole painting very loose.

I wanted a different vantage point of the apple and glass wrapped in black and white cloths so I used a small stool that I have in my studio which gave me a much higher vantage point on the still life.

I kept all my brush work very loose and simple, but at the same time I tried to be as accurate as possible. You can see how I just used straight lines for the light rim of the glass rather than carefully rendering the subtle curve of the whole thing.
