Wonder Woman: Too Small?

Often in this series I really like the drawing while I’m working on it then I see it online and I’m ready to start over…

Again I’m starting very detailed with the drawing when I should be expressing myself more. I feel that I may be too worried about the end result looking perfect. I need to try letting go, but before I do that I think I need to do Wonder Woman on a larger sheet of paper. Her head is so small that I can’t help but use a super sharp pencil.

What went well?

I worked hard on getting the proportions perfect.

What didn’t go so well?

The drawing is so small that the texture of the paper takes on too much prominence.

What did I learn and/or how can I do better?

Make the drawing larger on a larger sheet of paper and try to be more expressive with it and less worried about the end product.
