Who is this: Good Eye

I’ve finally painted one eye to my satisfaction. I’ve worked on this left eye for many sessions but only today did I get it right.

What did I do differently? Well I basically started with the iris and worked my way out from there. This was after a lot of analyzing of the current drawing and determining a path for the session. A clear focus and direction basically, plus I pulled out some really small brushes and took my time.

I know I’m doing well when the photos don’t look near as good as the painting…
