Today we traveled up to Washington to visit with friends and checkout our possible new home. After spending most of the day driving and site seeing we ended up close to where we used to live years ago and I did this coffee shop sketch of Pattie while we had some tasty snacks before dinner at a friends house.
Sketching at a coffee shop was quite fun I must say, I will have to do this more often. I may be getting to used to the controlled environment of the studio and still life work, so I may have to devote some time to landscapes or urban sketching. I found the sketching to be challenging yet exhilarating as I had to deal with movement and the possibility of the subject looking completely different within only a few minutes.
