It seems like I’m always doing something a bit different and today’s session was harder than normal because of too much white.
Normally I will use some medium to thin my paint and quickly go over the entire surface with approximate colors and values to get rid of all the white. This will make any subsequent painting easier to judge color and values. But for some reason I had to be different today and it was making everything harder.
I guess I always try something different to confirm what I know already. I’m always asking, is this the best way for me? I need to decide on a process that works for me and write it down. I also need to stick with a plan for more than a couple weeks… but that is another issue..
