In The Bend: Finished
Another finished figure painting. I had high hopes for this painting but I’m not so impressed with the finished product.
THE DAILY ARTIST
Another finished figure painting. I had high hopes for this painting but I’m not so impressed with the finished product.
I may have finished the refinement of the models head and back with this session.
I was very close to stopping this painting and starting a still life, but I figured if I stop now I will probably never finish
I spent an hour getting the basic block-in done for the feet and legs.
Today’s session was all about experimentation, I know the painting doesn’t look like it changed much though.
Let’s just say that today was not a very good day and it really showed in my ability to get anything correct on the painting.
I having some issues getting the first layer of paint down on the shadow side of the figure.
Working slowly and with deep focus, thanks to some great music, I have a very good start to this figure.
After this second session on the background I think I got it where I want it.
The background was painted very thin this time I’m trying to get it to recede as much as possible.
I spent an hour refining the drawing and getting a better understanding of the form of the figure.
I spent an hour refining this drawing and I’m thinking about taking more time on the drawing than normal.
Not much to see at the moment, but I have high hopes for this next painting.
