Still Life for Demo

Doing a life drawing for a demo that I will be giving in the spring but after doing the drawing today I decided to go with a different example image.

This was a good drawing but it just doesn’t have the impact of the other from previous journals I’ve done.

The gray background and the white chalk is just more impactful here. I like them a lot better.

What went well?

A good charcoal still life drawing.

What didn’t go so well?

I need to work on my drawing skills, and perspective.

What did I learn and/or how can I do better?

Do more drawings like this for training and do it on gray paper so I can leverage the lighter and darker values.

My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
