I wanted to see what the orange would be like over black, I was thinking it would be very intense but I always mute my colors so much that it still seems a bit dull.
Tonight I may begin a series of still life paintings to test my drawing skills with a brush. I have been finding lately that my drawing has bee lacking tremendously again. Either I need to sketch daily or I need to build drawing into my painting session somehow. Of course any time one puts brush to canvas they are inherently drawing but there is a difference between the accuracy needed with fruit and the accuracy with the figure or geometric shapes. If I can come up with some interesting still life that will challenge my accuracy with a brush then I think I may have the best of both worlds.
