Session #537, Work #505

Session 2 of spices and bottles. I had to break out my more intense colors for this subject. It seems like the only time I need a cadmium red, cadmium yellow and manganese blue is when unnatural manufactured products are involved. The last series of paintings my most intense color was alizarin crimson.

This subject will challenge my ability to drag straight lines across the entire canvas. The one thing that I’m having trouble with, besides drawing a straight line, is the glare from the paint when I draw any horizontal brush stroke on the canvas. I really need to figure up a setup for my light so I don’t have to battle this.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
