This is the third and last session of this painting and I’m really proud of what I have accomplished. I really feel that this painting is a culmination of all that I have learned over the last month of painting this similar subject daily.

I feel that I have exhausted this subject. I have been attached to it for a month, painting it every day. I didn’t know why exactly but with this painting I pulled it all together into one work. This is a huge step for me in my art, I even sighed it, which I haven’t done in years. This may be an indication that I’m ready to sell my work again and deal with the dreaded art market.

I’m unhappy with the photos taken here, once the painting has time to dry I will varnish it and take better photos.

Chris Beaven

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
