Session #475, Work #452

This was my first time visiting Ballard. It was a beautiful day and I had about an hour before I was to meet Jamie to talk about his new website. So, I had my paints and the time, so I painted.

I really liked the light that was hitting the side of this wall which is obvious because I’m drawn to high contrast subjects. Unfortunately the light was changing so quickly that I had to grab parts of it throughout the painting. Even within an hour the light shapes were completely different.

Looking at the painting now, I really see why Jamie keeps pushing me to work on perspective. I thought the drawing of the perspective here was good, but in hindsight it needs a lot of work.
