For some reason every time I draw or paint Emily I tend to complete something really cool. She must be such an amazing model that the art of her just gets better.

I’m really happy with this painting. There is something about a figure in a good composition that everyone can react well to, or at least have some reaction to. I seriously need to think about my subject and see if the figure needs to be central to it. I hope so, because I love drawing and painting the figure. Even after doing a couple good paintings after this one I still feel as though this one, with the figure was much more exciting to do.

Chris Beaven

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
