I have been thinking for a long while about our connection with our earth. Usually before I start a painting I ask myself, “here in this place, what is my connection with the earth, how an I effecting it and it what way?”.

It would be an easy question if we all lived in huts or tipis surrounded by the elements, living on the land. But most of the times when I ask the question I’m in my apartment or so other structure shut off from the rain and the wind. And yet, I know that everything we do, is woven into this earth like tree roots, but hidden and much more subtle.

Tonight I asked the question and responded with trash, recycling to be exact.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
