Another life drawing class at Daniel Smith. I love the class, I just wish the traffic getting there didn’t suck so bad.
After a drive that took about an hour, I was late to the life drawing class, as was everyone else due to the crappy traffic everywhere. We had a female model and I was placed on the opposite side of the light. There was a couple other artists that complained about the dark on this side of her body but I thought it was great, Like Sargent says.
The painter’s business being, not to pick and choose, but to render the effect before him, whatever they may be.
Always challenging and stepping out of my comfort zone is what I always need to strive for.
