Like I said last painting, I’m going to do nothing but draw for the next few painting. This one was awful again.

I really have a lot of drawing issues to overcome. What you will see below is a series of pictures throughout the drawing process compared to the original. See the captions for each photo.

This is interesting, this photo shows that the closeup picture that I took is way off from where I was looking at the still life, causing the drawing to look extremely wrong even in these beginning stages.

Here is a better photo to compare against. It lines up much closer to how I was looking at the still life. But, as you can see my measurements are already off.
Ones step back, you can see how I started. I picked a shape that I thought was the easiest to get correct right at the start.

Here I erased the face and added in the left side of the head. Size here is very incorrect.

How can I improve the drawing

Looks like I have a long way to go before I’m any good at drawing. Kind of a downer really…
