3405: Solo Artist Day 51
Lots of art work today as I was focused with my time and planned my day well.
THE DAILY ARTIST
Lots of art work today as I was focused with my time and planned my day well.
I had a very productive morning then later in the day I lost steam.
More iterations for the solo artist curriculum and I’m working my painting process document for the first time.
I spent more time setting up my new pen display than I did drawing today but it’s necessary.
I started the last phase of my SVS illustration today and spent the rest of the day with Pattie.
I didn’t do the movie thumbs this morning so I could work on the illustration longer.
I’m still working on this illustration and it’s really challenging.
I wasn’t able to spend near as much time on art that I would have liked today.
I was able to spend 3 hours today pushing the ball forward on my art projects. Yay!
Lots of digital thumbnails today and planning my first illustration assignment.
I spent most of my morning comparing pen displays and less time drawing. Then a wonderful hike with some drawing.
Working on the first SVS assignment and having fun with movie thumbs.
I went through all the design elements defined by SVS and studied how N.C. Wyeth used them.
I began working on a study of one of my most favorite N.C. Whyeth paintings. The Passing of Robin Hood
I took a lot of notes from the Creative Composition course about unity, then completed one exercise.
Tuesdays are full of wonderful meetings with other artists so I got to wake-up super early for my art.
Super busy day but I was able to get some SVS exercises done and some thumb-nailing.
I’ve started the month with one of my most productive days in a long time.
A fantastic day of digital drawing exercises, meeting with Josh and video production.
More exercises from The Society of Visual Story Telling creative composition.
Lots of notes from the Society of Visual Story Telling creative composition course and started on the exercises.
Cylinders finished and started art learning from the Society of Visual Story Telling. Love it!
Boxes and cylinders, video production with figure drawing and some digital in the evening. Wonderful art Day!
Reviewing my perspective notes, drawing 50 boxes, creating brushes and studying values.
This was not a solo artist curriculum day but I was trying to use what I’ve learned so far in life drawing.
A repeat from yesterday and some pivotal moments in my understanding of perspective.
Perspective study in the AM and some digital figure drawing in the PM.
More perspective study with Marshal Vandruff and getting closer to a possible landscape painting.
I’m going through the Marshall Vandruff perspective series and it’s absolutely fantastic.
Balancing tons of work time and daily art is becoming more difficult. My morning art ritual is now sacred to me.
A full day of art making and watching amazing interviews from Schoolism.com.
Even after a great morning today ended up as a low energy day, but I was still able to get some drawing done.
Plant construction study and the beginning of a digital study of an Albert Bierstadt painting.
Starting on Lesson 3 of drawabox.com and doing a study of a spectacular digital painting.
More practice with form intersections then moving on to organic intersections.
Still working on the form intersections and I’m stretching my mind to the three dimentions.
I’m working my brain super hard on these form intersection exercises. Super hard!
And absolutely wonderful morning of both traditional and digital study.
Today I’m using my ipad and apple pencil for some studies of other pro painting I love.
Back to traditional media and working on some more texture exercises.
I worked for two hours on texture study digitally and it’s depressing how little I finished.
I had a great morning of learning with traditional and digital media.
