I couldn’t just let the errors stand out on this painting so I had to redraw it. I went over the entire painting with a new drawing in gray.
I was able to repaint the right eye rather quickly though. The previous work on the painting wasn’t a total loss, in fact I think moving on from here should go much faster.
I think part of the issue is this guy looks weird overall. I mean, the model in the photo….
But yeah, sometimes you just gotta go back a few steps and figure it all out again.
