Peach on Black

Thanks to my amazing wife I had a wonderful day doing all kinds of fun birthday stuff. I completed only 1 hour of art tonight but I plan on making up for the time over the weekend.

The Subject


The value compare is much like the previous paintings. The light side of the subject is not light enough. I feel like I would have to add all kinds of white to the light side of the peach to bring its value up to where it supposed to be and destroying the vibrant color I was seeing. Although when looking at the above photo it doesn’t look as high a chroma as I was thinking…
