I’m trying something new, I’m painting with Acrylic, but not for the whole painting just for the beginning layers of the figure.
I’m trying to push color and layering to it’s extreme and I figured I would enlist the help of acrylic. Acrylic can achieve super bright colors, much more vibrant than oil depending on how it is layered and I want those bright colors and under layers of acrylic to show through the top layers of oil and lend another level of depth to the work. I want to feel the life under the skin and the movement there. It may fail horribly but I’m not worried, I can always cover it all up with oil.
