I’m using tech to help me see subtle value changes when the intensity of the colors are super high.
After every session I take a photo of what I’ve done, not only for the website but for review before the next session. Sometimes I review it just to point out what I need to work on next and some times I use Photoshop to turn the image gray-scale and compare it with the photo also in to gray-scale. This makes it very easy to see if I’m close in my values. It really helped this session because the shadow side of her face was much too dark and I spent some time fixing it.
