I almost never sign my paintings, but today I’ve signed this one and I think it’s important.
Most of paintings I’ve done in the past have been all about learning the craft they haven’t originated from my heart and mind. Now I feel that adding my signature to a painting is a powerful statement of connection between me, my life, my future history and the painting. I’m telling the world that when I die and if my contribution to the world is significant then this is one of the paintings that should be considered as a major part of my life and history. I don’t sign these paintings lightly, I don’t do it for money or notoriety, I sign them as an indication of a monumental achievement in my life at this time. Applying this amount of importance on my signature also reaffirms the importance of each brush stroke I’ve made in this painting and every painting to come.
