Pattie: Other Knee

Yeah, the titles of my posts lack any vestige of interest, I’m not a writer, I’m an artist so I’ll be literal.

It’s important that I get the subtle transitions of value correct on these knees because this is what gives the viewer the idea that they recede in space. After looking at the photo of her right knee that I worked on today today (left side of painting) . I see that I need to refine some of the lighter values to help with the foreshortening. I want to point out again that taking photos of my progress daily provides excellent feedback to make corrections.
