I’m going to have several more sessions of work on this shirt and I find it hard to write about anything meaningful.
I’m beginning to prefer old beat up brushes. Most newer brushes have too sharp of edges and make unnatural marks. Of course there are a lot of instances where a new sharp brush comes in handy especially when you need to get some exact details down. But for the bulk of this painting and many other paintings I’ve used some splayed synthetic mongoose brushes.
