The emotion is paramount, yet I don’t feel the painting is capturing it. Which is why I decided to work on the eyes again today.
Even the smallest, tiny difference in the drawing can throw off the emotion in the eyes. I’m thinking that the bottom eye lids are a bit two low and need to be pulled up some and the form reworked to show the correct depth under the lids. There is an earnestness and pleading in her eyes that I must capture, if I don’t capture this the painting will not achieve its goal.
