I wanted to get a better idea of how the form of Patrick’s face moves through space this will go far to inform the next painting step.
Also, I’ve really slowed down on this painting. Or maybe I should say that I have begun to focus harder. I’m constantly reminded every time I don’t perform well that the problem is my focus. It’s not about completing a painting in a certain amount of time. The real challenge and the seed of mastery starts at each brush stroke and the deep consideration of each, I must have, and remind myself, and realize, that each brushstroke is just as important as the whole of this painting and every painting I’ve ever done.
