I feel that this change in direction is the best, it will take me a while to get back up to speed but I feel I’m back on track.
Today was all about removing the old canvas from the stretcher bars and stretching a new one plus two coats of gesso. This time I’m using my normal neutral gray that I’ve been using for years.
Next is about 6 more coats and lots of sanding in between.
