Being the wonderful animated person he is Patrick likes to gesture with his hands but it doesn’t make the best photos.
His raised hand is a bit blurry but I have more than enough information to make some educated guesses for the drawing. It may end up that some of his fingers are slightly thicker than the others but if I feel that becomes a big issue during painting I will probably pose my own hand and take clearer pictures. I hope to avoid that though, as I want an authentic experience here.
Although… as I think about it… what if I keep the blur and make it an asset of the painting and further communicate small yet wonderful intricacies of Patrick. hmm……….
