Paper Ball Still Life

Tonight I return to the paper ball still life that I did a series of many months ago. I’ve planned to return to this subject and now that I’ve started on a painting I’m not quite sure how I feel about it now.

I would have liked to have worked longer than just an hour tonight on this painting but unfortunately I found my focus waining quite a bit and decided to stop for the night. On the other had I’m kinda glad that I did because after looking at the photo of the paper ball in the shadow box I like the shaft of light behind the ball and I see a better composition than the one that I have started.

So tonight I may wipe out this painting and start it over, if I do I’m going to do all that I can to get in at least two hours of painting done.
