On the days that I have more than 2 hours to paint I get a lot done.
Resurgence
The motive for this painting is simple and to the point. It’s an example of my return to painting after months and months of drawing.
A resurgence from black and white and into color. I had been working so long in black and white that I wanted to use super bright complimentary colors and get the figure to glow out of the canvas.
Also, this is one of two preliminary studies for a painting that I have planned in the future. I wanted to use this painting to study glazing techniques and expand my ability to infuse life into the body.
