So, this painting is taking a long time to finish. So long in fact that half of it is dry and I’m not even done with it. It’s looking really good though. I’m not sure you can tell by the images but I’m very happy with its progress.

I was told very recently to just “shut up and paint”, some really good advice actually and this advice comes into play very well with the 4th session on this painting because I’m running out of things to say about it. Or am I?

Thai Tea Oil Painting, A Lesson in Patience

Tonight I focused on moving slowly and methodically through the painting assembling it stroke by stroke and checking the correction of each, it was a real lesson in patience. I didn’t get much done on the painting but what I did finish is looking great.
