Another still life tonight and even though this subject is simple, painting it was not. Onions in natural light, much like anything in natural ambient has very subtle transitions of form and this is what makes it hard to paint.
It has been a while since I’ve put any still life paintings up on my Dailypaintworks site for sale so I’m trying to complete a still life that I feel warrants selling. So for the past two paintings have fallen short of the mark. I’ll keep trying but I need to change up my method a bit I think.
I wondered where those onions went… 😉
