I’m starting a new painting and I’m doing something a bit different.

First of all this painting is smaller than my last painting. I realized that I really don’t need to have a large painting in order for it to be good. One of my favorite painting that I have done is pretty small only about 22″ x 15″. This painting is 14″ x 22″ and I’m going to have to get out the small brushes when I get into the detail but I think I enjoy that more than filling lots of space with paint.

I also toned the canvas differently today, its based on the Studio Incaminati way of toning the canvas and my first impression s that I really dislike the streaks all over the canvas its very distracting. Needless to say I won’t be doing that again.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
