New Day, New Figure Painting

I’m not sure if I will return to my previous figure painting. I was attempting something different and I really wasn’t excited about the look of it. Today I started a new painting of a female figure in a style similar to my previous figure paintings on gray.

After 1 hour of drawing, I barely have the top half of the figure finished. I tend to work much slower when doing a preliminary drawing for an oil painting it seems. At this point in a painting, I feel that accuracy is the most important. Countless times I have seen that inaccurate drawing within the first 5 minutes of a work will ruin the next 30 hours of work.
