Lots of interest in this monochrome start but I lost clear definition in basic shapes.
The photo of this figure, or video I should say, has some very clear value separations. Even though this start turned out really nice I passed up one crucial step in favor for detail.
After drawing the figure I should have separated it in simple light an dark, maybe one or two extra values also. This would have given more form and depth to the figure first. Then I could have worked into the detail.
For my next session I will focus on this simplification first and hold off on the detail for as long as possible.
