Monochrome Landscape

Now for something a little different I met an artist friend on the beach and we painted a landscape.

I stuck with monochrome as I’m still working on drawing with a brush and focusing on the start of a painting. Plus it has been a long time since I’ve done a landscape so I didn’t want color to be an extra factor. Basically I took an easier route.

I was thinking of the drawings by Winslow Homer when I was painting this. I didn’t come close to the beauty that Winslow Homer achieved in his drawings but I do like the concept.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
