Living Room: Basic Shapes

I’m moving across the painting focusing on basic shapes.

I think initial accuracy is important, but it doesn’t have to be in extreme detail, the second and third passes will take care of the detail. The first layer of paint is just to setup good value and color. I already have the drawing done so I don’t have to worry too much about that.

Of course after looking at the photos taken of the session I realize that I have some values in the background too light. I want to push the items in the background further back, these are not the focus of the painting but I want them discernible. I’ll probably hit them with a glaze after those parts dry.
