Life Drawing: Randy

I feel like I’m getting better at painting in the open studio every Saturday but it could be because Randy is such an awesome model.

I’ve always drawn or painted Randy well, maybe not always but most of the time I guess. As an older person his body is extremely interesting.

The problem I was having today was more with the materials than anything else. I’ve realized that I paint thinly and if the canvas has any slight texture it completely interrupts the subject. The next time I bring my paints into the studio I’m going to have a very smooth canvas.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
