Today was the second session at Gage Academy life drawing for the month of August. The drawing went really well and this time I got there early so I could warmup. Unfortunately I was an hour and a half early.
The good news is that I was so early that I could make up for lost time yesterday. So I took a seat in front of a skeleton and began drawing in ink.

I still had more time so I drew the view from the Gage third floor window.

Two poses in the same place and the second one is always better. Maybe I should do a bunch of drawings all from the same view next time and see how much I learn from it.

The second one from this view is drawn much better, at least the face is, but I didn’t get as far. I just now realized while looking at the picture of this drawing that her arm is much too short. Funny how the realization comes much later…

Haha, didn’t realize you arrived at Gage that early! Well, at least you got more art in!
Well, I like getting there early, not that early, but I don’t like being late or on time. I like to have some time to warmup and get my head in order before drawing. I do my best drawing when my head is in the right place.
