Another day, another drawing session. My blog is going to be very repetitive this month. It’s the slow plod forward to mastery because life is not a movie montage…

I took a close up picture of this 5 minute drawing because I think it went very well.

I seem to have the most trouble with straight standing figures. Judging the height for the figure, especially when the ratio is more vertical, is something I need to work on.

This 15 minute drawing was done with a preliminary sketch underneath. All the other drawing went straight for detail. If I was planning a figure in a space I think I would definitely do a preliminary rough sketch to get the whole of the figure correct before going for the details. This will be the next challenge for myself.

This was a good session as I discovered that I need to work on figures with a more vertical/standing pose and I need to try and fit a figure into a space. I know that fitting a figure into a space is difficult for me and I have been avoiding it. I shale have to rectify that soon.
