It’s been a while since I’ve done charcoal at the Saturday life drawing session.
The drawing didn’t go too bad, but I wish that the result was better. I think I’m beginning to find limitations within my supplies. Currently I’m using Conte a Paris charcoal pencils and smooth newsprint, but I feel as though it lacks the subtle approach to value that I want. At some point soon I’m going to try some different paper and different charcoal. But until then I still need to get my drawing better.
