As I’m painting Kiddie I’m trying to create texture in oil paint and I’m not sure how to achieve what I want.
I’ve gotten out my smaller brushes and I’m planning to create fur in oil paint but I’m having issues. The paint is wet and moves so much that it is difficult to get definite fur look. After seeing Andrew Wyeth’s show I want to have more texture in my work but I’m realizing that I have no idea how to achieve that in oil paint. I’m also wondering if this would work much better with a different medium like egg tempera which I have never tried. But, before I abandon oil, I will try and add texture with it first. I’m sure it can be done I just have to figure it out.
