Me and Kiddie: Refining Shadows

The painting doesn’t look like it changed much from last session, I’m improving on some shadow areas around my portrait.

I’m starting to see that in order to get the detail that I want, and the texture, I need to work over paint that has already dried. So a lot of this painting is just predatory work for subsequent layers.

  1. Oh, I can see the method of painting over dried paint helping with the textures, especially with fur and clothing. Good job so far, this looks great!
