Just Take a Day

I needed to just take a day. None of my days are spent doing nothing but this was definitely less productive than most.

A few minutes of work on the Pokemon drawing and I’m happy with the wing of the Spearow that I shaded.

Pokemon Drawing

I do want to mention something about Bernie Wrightson. I’ve heard of him before but it was in the last couple of days that I’ve really recognized what an amazing artist he was.

Not only is his line work exceptional but his compositions are breathtaking. I would live to buy his illustrated book of Frankenstein but it costs around $200. Well worth it in my opinion but I can get the images online to study.

Daily Composition and Sketch

Again today I took my time drawing a cup on my desk starting with pencil first. Then I drew a cashier at Loews that I saw while buying a bunch of supplies to mount my paintings for a show.

What went well, what was awesome! Celebrate It!

I’m not feeling well so I decided to just take a day, but I still was able to get some “micro wins” on all my commitments.

What needs work? What did you learn?
