Ever have a painting session where nothing you do seems to go well. I spent two hours on this painting today and everything I put down was just not working and I didn’t have a clue why.
Eventually I had to walk away from the painting for a few minutes, refresh and come back. Then I focused on a very small spot and worked hard to just get that area where I wanted it. This seemed to work well but overall the session was kind of a bummer. No worries though, I plan to do well on the next session.
For the next session I’m going to focus on breaking up each part of the body into planes. I’ll utilize these planes to turn the form in space. For some reason it always helps to think of the body parts in geometric terms.
