It has been a long while since I attended an open studio and I was really afraid of how the painting would turn out. But, I ended up being very happy with the outcome. In fact, I was reminded how much I love working with the figure. The figure is vastly more interesting than still life. Its much harder of course, but my struggle with spending more than a half hour on painting with still life quickly evaporated when I was in front of the figure.

After two hours into the class I felt as if I could spend all day working on this. Although thirty minutes for the class ended I began to feel the normal fatigue. I’m not sure what I’m more excited about, my excitement with the figure or how well I did after many months not working from the figure. Anyhow, it was a great success today and I will have to continue attending the Sunday class.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
