Fundamentals: Life Drawing and Rhino Conservation

A wonderful day of life drawing, bowling, date night and all for the great cause of Rhino conservation.

I had a great life drawing session today. Drawing Chris our model seemed effortless, which was helped tremendously by Chris’ ability to stand as still as a statue. I was able to complete 4 really nice 20 minute drawings, all of which I feel are very proportionally accurate.

I would have had 5 drawings today but I needed to leave early for Bowling for Rhinos, an event put on by the Puget Sound AAZK chapter to help raise money for Rhino conservation. What was even better was that some of the artists donated to this great cause also. Pattie wrote a wonderful blog post all about the festivities at her blog. Also if you would like to help a horny friend head over to the Puget Sound AAZK website.

Drawing,  bowling, tacos, lots of fun with the woman I love and all for a great cause! What a great day!

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."

  1. I’ll never forget the year you did your live painting during the Curling for Rhinos event. It was a beautiful painting. It makes me wonder how your animal paintings would look now after practicing the figure for so long.
