I’ve decided to start another long term painting. Lately my motivation has been lacking and I hope this will bring back some energy to spend at least 2 hours a day on art.
I wanted the drawing to be very accurate so I started with graphite rather than oil. When I compare my weeks of drawing with a brush versus pencil I have to say that I prefer the latter more. Especially with these smaller paintings, I just can’t get enough detail in many areas of the figure with a brush.
The good news is that I spent two hours on this today. I haven’t spent 2 hours in one day on art at my home in several weeks.
