It feels like a long while since I painted and my actions with a brush are a bit rusty.

My main goal here for the first pass or “block-in” stage is to establish some correct values and colors while keeping all the edges soft. I’ll also push the colors a bit further than normal in this stage also as I like how they will look once I glaze over them for subsequent stages. I’m also really thinking about form and getting a three dimensional look to the body with paint. And I’m also thinking about the translucency of skin somewhat, that will happen more in the later layer when I begin to refine the painting but I’m still thinking about it while I paint. So basically there is a lot going on in my head.

I am an Artist and a programmer currently living in the amazing state of Washington. I have a passion for art, but I'm stubborn as hell with it. My day is complete only when I do some piece of art each day, no matter how small. "There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish, it was so fragile."
