I put a lot of focus and time in on this one. I’m happy with it but I wonder if I could push it further. Either more detail, or less detail and more focus on simple shapes, I’m not sure. I do know for a fact that it would have been better if the paper didn’t move so much. The last hour of this painting was spent guessing about how things would look if the paper was in it original shape. That was fairly challenging because I refuse to paint from photos.
I think before I start my next paper still life I’m going to figure out a specific direction or goal for it.
